It’s a BBCNI Youth Programmes (1986) family get together. It is a day of events for young film makers but the speed networking has brought together a bunch of people who started their careers around the same time on 15 floor in Windsor House in Belfast (annex then to BH). Peter Weil – now top man at CTVC – was central to our work, then. He’s still creating opportunies for young people.
So Youth Progamme alumni , Mike Edgar, Deirdre Devlin, David Kilpatrick, Lynda Bryans (who was on the same floor but in a different department) and me, plus an other 5 or 10 from BBC, UTV and indies are here because fresh talent is important to them and access to media managers is important to film makers regardless of age.
